The 8-hour initial training is required before administrator designation (26 TAC §558.259(c)). The 16-hour first-year training is completed within 12 months of designation (26 TAC §558.259(d)). The 12-hour annual continuing education is required every 12 months after the first year (26 TAC §558.260).
